The IYO summary
Prunes are truly fantastic for your health.
First up, they are a great source of fiber that promotes a healthy gut and improved digestion. Eat a serving, about 5 prunes, and get 10 to 15% of your daily fiber target. If you don’t get enough fiber, and 90% of us don’t, prunes are a no brainer. As usual, moderation is the best rule, don’t go stuffing yourself with them.
They also have a bunch of Vitamins, Antioxidants, and nutrients, and help with everything from strengthening bones, to eye and immune system health, to improving sleep.
Eat as a snack or replace a high sugar ‘health’ bar.
